More Than a Tea. A Daily Ritual for Natural Balance
At One More Cup of Tea, we believe that profound wellness is built not in a single moment, but through small, consistent, daily acts of care.
Our Origins—From the Clinic to Your Teacup
One More Cup of Tea was born from a simple, powerful idea in the treatment room: the most effective healing happens when patients are empowered to care for themselves at home.
Founded by Shirley Liang Brown, R.TCMP/R. Ac, a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner / acupuncturist based right here in Nanaimo, this brand is an extension of her clinical practice.
In our clinic, Shirley helps patients restore balance. With these teas, she wanted to bring that same principle of balance directly to your cupboard. Each blend is more than a beverage; it’s a practical, accessible form of TCM wisdom, designed to seamlessly integrate into your modern life.
Our philosophy: Small rituals, big changes
Our name reflects our core philosophy. Just as one more step leads to a long journey, and one more stitch creates a strong fabric, one more cup of tea is a gentle, yet powerful, commitment to your well-being.
We see health as a dynamic journey. Our goal is not to offer a quick fix, but to be your supportive companion, providing the simple, natural tools you need to nurture your body’s innate ability to find its center—day by day, and cup by cup.
Quality Commitment – The Profound Meaning of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescriptions
Every ingredient in our teas is chosen with purpose and precision. Shirley draws upon her formal TCM training, her deep cultural heritage, and her clinical experience to create blends that are both effective and harmonious.
This means you can trust that every tea:
-
Is Based on TCM Principles: Each formula addresses specific patterns of imbalance, just as a custom herbal prescription would, but in a gentle, accessible format.
-
Uses High-Quality Ingredients: We source pure, potent herbs because we believe the quality of the ingredient is directly linked to its effectiveness.
-
Is Safe and Thoughtful: As a regulated health professional, Shirley formulates with safety and contraindications in mind.
This is more than our business; it’s our way of sharing a timeless tradition of natural health.
